OLPH Mothers of Young Children
(For this months activities, Click Here)
There are many mothers of the parish with young children. All
too often, mothers who do not work outside the home find themselves
isolated in daily routines and may have little contact with others.
Mothers working outside the home may struggle with the balance
of family and career. There was an interest in forming a group
for mothers to provide sharing and fellowship. The purpose of
the group is to provide fellowship among members of our parish,
using the model of our Blessed Mother. Also, this fellowship
would create another outlet for the young children of the parish
to socialize among their peers. Mothers of Young Children was
initiated by mom and parishioner Linda Rendes in late 1993. Presently
the group consists of 22 families with children ranging in age
from infancy to school age. Our children's activities include
playdates, field trips and more. Parents of the group enjoy get
togethers such as outings for moms and couple's night out. Occasionally
the families of the group come together for potlucks and other
events.
If you and your family would like to be a part of this
parish group please contact Charina Patterson at 872-3462 or
Linda Rendes at 871-8823. We look forward to welcoming new members!
God bless you.
